The sensitivity of leak detection equipment, which has been downgraded to measure pressure drop, decreases proportionally with the increase in component volume, making the inspection of tanks and, in particular, the battery compartment of electric cars a major challenge for the industry.
One of ATEQ's latest developments is a solution to this problem, with a patented extra-sensitive sensor and measurement electronics.

Key features:
Differential pressure drop leakage measurement
1 measuring range (ΔP): 20 Pa
Large cross-section pneumatic valves and tubes for fast measurement
128 programmes
WINATEQ 300 software for management
Electronic pressure regulator 4 MPa
Mechanical pressure regulator 8 MPa
Measurement characteristics of sensors:

When testing a large, flexible deformable part in a „noisy” factory environment, an unfavourable signal-to-noise ratio makes it difficult to evaluate the measurements. It can be a disturbing signal if either the temperature or pressure in the room changes during the measurement, or if the part is subjected to low frequency vibrations. ATEQ's new Differential Noise Canceling (DNC) technology provides faster, more accurate leak measurement results because interference is filtered out.

The standard devices have only one pressure sensor (piezzo), the pressure drop from the leak is always measured relative to atmospheric pressure. Due to their simpler design, these instruments provide a cost-effective solution when the allowable leakage is larger, or when its measurement does not require high accuracy, or when the test pressure is relatively low.
